Gatorade Powders Get a 2026 Upgrade: New Formula & Design

May 11, 20263 min read

Gatorade has relaunched its electrolyte powder lineup with updated formulas, refreshed packaging, and new flavors across Gatorade Zero, Gatorlyte, and Propel.

What's Changed: No Artificial Flavors or Colors in Gatorade Powders

Consumer demand for products with no artificial flavors or added colors has been growing fast — and Gatorade answered. The brand removed artificial flavors and added colors from three powder brands, responding to what active people are asking for without compromising on taste or performance. And each powder is formulated for a different kind of active person.

  • Gatorade Zero powder is built for athletes and active individuals who want a product to help replenish electrolytes without added sugar. It delivers the same trusted hydration performance with no added colors or artificial flavors.

  • Gatorlyte powder is designed for salty sweaters with lower sugar* than the leading sports drink. Gatorlyte powder is designed for rapid rehydration and also features a specialized blend of five electrolytes with no added colors or artificial flavors.

    • *60% lower sugar than the leading sports drink. Gatorlyte Watermelon, Cherry Lime, and Orange powders contain 9g sugar per serving and Gatorlyte Strawberry Kiwi contains 10g sugar per serving. Gatorade Thirst Quencher Powder contains 32g sugar per serving (Amount to make 16 FL OZ).

  • Propel fitness powder is made for daily hydration and active lifestyles. Zero sugar, with no added colors or artificial flavors. Propel fitness powder helps replenish electrolytes and provides a source of vitamins B3, B5, B6, B12, C, and E, making it as at home in your gym bag as it is on your desk.

New Gatorade and Propel Powder Flavors for 2026

Three new flavors joined the lineup this spring, each bringing something distinct to the Gatorade portfolio:

  • Gatorade Zero Strawberry Ice — a cool, refreshing twist joining the Zero lineup

  • Gatorlyte Strawberry Kiwi — a bold new flavor profile for the rapid rehydration formula

  • Propel Mango — a bright, tropical addition to the Propel fitness powder range

All three feature no added colors or artificial flavors, with each formula delivering the electrolytes you'd expect from Gatorade.

What's New With Powder Packaging

Gatorade Zero and Propel packets have been redesigned to align with a standard 20oz water bottle — the most common way people use powders. Gatorlyte packets remain designed for 16 fl oz of water. Mix, shake, go.

The updated packaging also puts functional benefits front and center, making it easier to find the right product on shelf with a more refined, premium look overall.
