I sweat a LOT when I workout, but the location of this patch (inside forearm) is just not a place where I sweat much! It took me close to 2 hours walking on an incline on the treadmill to get enough sweat to fill the patch even halfway, and I think most of it was from the sweat dripping from other areas. I think this is a cool product but I can’t justify purchasing it.

I always like to start by stating the good first of a product! I think the concept and the application process are great, but unfortunately the technology to use it (Gx App) don’t work when attempted to use multiple times. I would love to give the product another shot if the app software works out the glitches.

You’re suppose to place it on your left forearm and either start the workout on the Gatorade app or input it after. I did legs day for this as I figured if I did upper body moving my forearm a lot will make the sticker come off. It did stick til the end of my legs workout but started lifting. I sweat the most doing legs but not sure if the patch is suppose to change colors? Mine didn’t. The app told me some stuff about my fluid loss and stuff but i didn’t find the information useful.

I think the concept is cool and the app allows you to really go in depth with your workout, which is really interesting. I personally could not get my sweat patch to scan properly, I kept receiving an error so I can’t speak to its effectiveness.

It works. It’s fun. But the concept just kind of falls flat of being innovative. It’s a patch that tells you something you already know. You’ve worked out, you’ve depleted in fluids and electrolytes, you should rehydrate. I don’t get why you need a whole app to tell you that.

In theory this sounds interesting but it just didn’t work great for me. The patch didn’t want to stay on during my workout. When I was done my run I was sweating a good amount but the patch didn’t read anything until I sat for a few minutes with my hand pressing it to my arm. The reading in the app took a much of tries and finally said I had low fluid loss.

So, honestly I might be comparing this to using the Apple Watch. But, I don’t have time to put a patch on my arm before every single workout. What about impromptu workouts? What if I forget it? Too much for me personally. I’d rather just put on my watch and go about my day.

The concept of the patch seems cool and I was excited to try it. I thought it was odd that the patch had to be placed on the inner arm since I don’t sweat much on my arms. I did a workout in the sun in 85 degree weather and the patch collected no sweat. When I went to take off the patch I noticed the dye had gotten onto my skin and the adhesive irritated it. I wouldn’t purchase the patch in the future.
