This is a review of the Gatorade Concave 64-ounce jug. It’s twice the size of their bottles and require 2 pods vs 1, however the same pods can be used for either the smaller bottles or the bigger jug. It comes with a pod piercer at the top of the jug when you open the lid. I’ve only used it 4 times so far and the lid has been leak-proof, however I am hand washing it with a cup brush. There is a textured rubberized back panel for gripping, but this jug is big and smaller hands will need to use the handle. It is double wall foam insulated and, in my experience, it kept my drink cold for around 4 hours before I started to see a difference in temperature. This is definitely a better option for hotter days or long endurance workouts where the smaller bottles won’t make it to the end of your workout. It’s probably overkill for a 1-hour treadmill work-out but is ideal for a hot summer day football practice to ensure you stay hydrated. I also feel the jug is high end and constructed well. I’ve been drinking Gatorade since the 80’s and is my go-to hydration drink for workouts.
