I want to thank Muscle Milk and Influenster for sending me a 14 fl oz (414 ml) bottle of Muscle Milk High Protein Shake to try in exchange for an honest review. I shook the bottle and poured several ounces of Muscle Milk into a cup. I did not like the taste as opposed to chocolate milk made from a national brand of cocoa powder. It did not taste like milk with cocoa powder in it, but more like a plant-based alternative. That would have been fine if it was truly a plant-based alternative. I then added it to decaffeinated coffee, which was fine and even pleasant.
The benefit of this drink is the protein content and vitamins. It contains 26 grams of protein (52% DV), made from its ulta-filtering process of milk, using ultra-high temperature. It also contains as 8 mcg of Vitamin D (40% DV), 780 mg of Calcium (60% DV), 230 mcg of Vitamin A (25% DV), and 420 mcg of Potassium (8% DV). Moreover, it also contains carrageenan, cellulose gel & gum and stevia leaf extract. The entire bottle is 170 calories.
I can see the benefit of this product especially if my goal is to build muscle or I need a quick protein intake. Everyone who needs muscle support should give it a try and see for oneself if you like the taste.
