I have been using Gatorade products for long distance triathlon training since 2000. When the "endurance" formula first came out, i was skeptical but after some time, i noticed a definite decrease in the use of other products to keep up with loss nutrition. I like the old formula due to taste. It was not as sweet as the regular Gatorade formula and could not be "over sugared" at the end of an Ironman race. The New Formula is a complete disaster. I can barely stomach this stuff for a 3hr ride, much less try to make an entire race with this. If the formula is so great, then why does it not dissolve correctly? On many instances, the bottle i have made 2-3 hours earlier still has undissolved solution with chunks on the bottom of my bottle. Did you guys give this to athletes to try in the field? If so, I would like to know which pro athletes checked their name on this list. I have yet to find a solution besides having to make pre made bottles more than 24 hours in advance to have the powder completely dissolved. I bought 4 32oz container and threw 2.5 of them away because i could not stand to drink this product. All in all, to make myself roughly the same mixture as the old formula, I am having to use standard Gatorade mix and adding Carbo Pro for enhancement.
GatoradeThanks for being loyal to Gatorade, John. We really appreciate your feedback on our powder. Sorry the product isn’t dissolving easily. Maltodextrin, which is a new carbohydrate source in Gatorade Endurance Formula, can be slower to dissolve. Also, mix times will vary based on the temperature of the water. We recommend trying colder water which typically mixes slower.
