I tried one of the Gatorade Sweat Patches today for the first time on my normal gym visit. I spent 46 minutes exercising. About 25 minutes as a moderate jog and the remaining weight lifting with embedded cardio. I always thought I didn’t sweat much, but this patch verified that! After 46 minutes of exercise, the patch JUST barely began to fill. I tried 3 times to scan it into the Gx app and on the third try, it finally read the patch and gave me a result where it told me that I should slow down hydration because I may overhydrate myself! I find the app slightly clunky and difficult to use. It often repeats itself and asks the same questions over and over. The Home Screen is not innate to the user as to what to enter and where. It will work with the Health app in your iPhone which I find as the easiest way to send information to the Gx app. Overall, I would not start using this regularly over my iPhone workouts app or the health app in my phone to track workouts. I am a good water drinker anyway, so I don’t need to guidance to drink specific amounts of water. Beware, the sweat patch is best served by those who sweat significantly during workouts.
